LOCATION
Located in the Colunga district of the Sueve Mountains, the Hotel is surrounded by an incomparable natural environment, in the midst of forests of fir, beech, cherry, pine and holly trees and only a short distance from the sea. This privileged location, full of contrasts, makes this hotel an ideal place to relax.
Luces is a small and traditional Asturian village featuring many "horreos" and "paneras" and a very special charm. It is right on the Jurassic Route and, from the Palacio de Luces, you may enjoy the said path that crosses the village and reaches as far as Cape Lastres Lighthouse on foot or by bicycle. To the west, the main feature is the excellent view of the cliffs that extend to Rodiles Beach and Tazones Lighthouse, which can be seen in the distance. To the east, the view extends as far as Punta Mísera, behind which is the village of Lastres. Near the Lighthouse, on the way back to the cliffs and the Palacio de Luces, the tracks of dinosaurs can be seen in the rocky surface.
The Palacio de Luces is only 5 minutes from the beaches of La Isla, Lastres and La Griega; about 30 minutes from Oviedo, 20 minutes from Gijón and 45 from the Airport. Furthermore, this spectacular area provides guests with the possibility of performing all types of activities and adventure tourism, not forgetting the wide ranging cultural and artistic features of the region and the excellent nearby museums and theatres.
HOW TO ARRIVE
On the A-8 dual-carriageway, take exit 353, Lastres-Venta del Pobre. At the first roundabout, take the N-632 for 0.3 Km. At the second roundabout, take the second exit towards Lastres-Luces on the AS-257 for 3.7 Km. to the Hotel Palacio de Luces.

The Balcón del Sueve, our restaurant, offers the best views of the Sueve Mountain Range.
A fantastic atmosphere together with the possibility of enjoying the most traditional Asturian dishes, carefully prepared under the supervision of Fernando Martín, from 1976 to 1995 in Oviedo, owned the most emblematic restaurant of the city; "Trascorrales", where he got the first Michelín Stara of Asturias and in 1989 got the Premio Nacional de Gastronomía as the best Chef of the year.
He innovates , always from the most conservative cooking, inherited from his family at the rings of th "Pelayo" restaurant. At the same square place of this Oviedo, he got to own 3 restaurants: one dedicated to Asturias cooking "EL Raitán", one small seafood restaurant "El Bocamar" and "Trascorrales" (closed because the derive of the building, when it was one of the oldest ones of Oviedo)
The cooking of Palacio de Luces obtains it carácter because the predominante of the tipical asturian products; all them elaborated in a traditional way, but innovating all the time.
